Greetings!!
I am so excited to be returning to second grade this year. I have taught first and third grades as well, and I feel as though I have found the perfect spot here in Room 228!
I moved to Charlotte 13 years ago from Princeton, New Jersey. While it was hard to move away from my hometown, the greatest gift from the move was that both of my children were able to come to Trinity. Their experience here was so transformative that it led to my commitment to become a meaningful member of this important and unique community. I am a lifelong learner as evidenced by my recent completion of my graduate coursework at UNC Charlotte. This summer, I attended Teachers College at Columbia University where I studied reading. I am a passionate alumna of Vassar College, where I started as an education major but ended up with a degree in philosophy!
When I am not at Trinity, I can be found on my back porch reading. My two Trinity graduates are now grown. Louise works for CBS in Washington, D.C. and Mason is a rising senior at Carolina. My household is down to my husband, David and our beloved dog, Sam.
